“Robert was able to view my property and visualize a natural hill country pool and then made the project a true winner. We now have a small Hamilton Pool in our backyard. The limestone work and details make this a one of a kind pool and a spectacular showcase. Robert met our budget and deadline and was a joy to work with. People who see our pool are amazed at the natural beauty and workmanship that has gone into this pool. I would highly recommend Southwest Custom Pools.”

“We started our pool and spa this summer and it was finished in early October, just in time for a few weeks of swimming. We chose Austin Water Designs because their price was competitive with other providers and the pool designer was professional, accommodating, and followed up with us. He didn’t pressure us to make a decision, but stayed in touch on a regular basis. And when the pool was complete, he stopped by with a goody basket full of pool toys. Our permitting process took a while due to some issues with the original permitting of our house and we were delayed about 6 weeks. Once we got started, Austin Water Designs moved swiftly and things progressed at a steady pace and we saw improvement each week. We didn’t have a regular project manager on the project for the first six week or so. Because of this, we weren’t clear on exactly where we were in the process and if we were on track to finish on schedule or not. About half way through, we had a project manager assigned to the job and he kept us informed every step of the way. The project manager was professional in his communication and seemed genuinely interested in making our project a success. He was new to the field, coming over from home construction, and he was learning the industry on the job. He told us this up front and it didn’t cause a problem with our project, he just couldn’t answer a lot of our questions right away. About 9 weeks into the project it was clear that we were not going to finish the project on the original schedule. The weather was partly to blame as we had about 2 weeks of solid rain around the time we should have been wrapping up. We continued to see progress though, and the project manager kept us informed. However, it’s probably true that the original designer over promised on the timeline by a few weeks. Our pool is beautiful and we’re thrilled with the results. The “pool school” was very helpful and we were thoroughly instructed on how to control every aspect of the pool and how to keep it in top shape. We realized during training that we couldn’t control our bubbler with the remote and Austin Water Designs quickly remedied that situation by installing a missing part. We also had a warranty issue after the fact and Austin Water Designs installed an extra blower for the spa at no additional charge. We are very happy with the results of the project and with Austin Water Designs ability to deliver nearly everything they promised. We would have appreciated a more realistic estimate on the timeline in the beginning, and maybe one or two check-ins from the owner of the company. These were minor issues though and I would highly recommend Austin Water Designs.”

“Design Ecology recently completed our pool and we could not be happier with the outcome! We had a very specific idea of what we wanted and Scott Cummings and his design team took the time to really listen to us and project manager, Ben Lassater turned our dream pool into a reality. Ben was always available to discuss any questions we had or to meet us on property. He was very attentive to any concerns we voiced and was very thorough in explaining the process to us. Ben and Scott are very knowledgable about the latest products on the market and have a vast amount of experience to know which products work best. I would defintely recommend Design Ecology to anyone looking to build an innovative and first class pool.”
John Pack Custom Pools

“John Pack Custom Pools built a large pool and cabana/outside living space project for our family in our previously unfinished backyard. After a few meetings with John to discuss the details of the pool we envisioned, John created a computerized artistic rendition of what we communicated to him to capture our ideas. The pool is 40x20 feet with a depth from 3.5 to 7 feet and also features the following: three water sheers; a Paramount in-floor pool cleaner; a 21-ft swim up bar (in the deep end); beautiful tilework at the water's edge; an Aqua Blue Pebbletec finish; Intellibrite LED pool/spa lights; chipped lueder stone pool/spa coping; a spa with two JetPaks; a deck of travertine pavers with a separate colored-concrete sun deck and lueder stairs leading to a separate deck of travertine pavers. John coordinated with his team of masons to create a privacy stone wall and separate cabana and a certified electrician to provide plenty of detailed lighting within the cabana. The stone and roof of the cabana matches the house perfectly. Two large, heavy wooden gates were also constructed to provide entrances to the pool/deck area. The cabana and stone walls were designed with three faux windows of textured stucco, adding to the artistic beauty of the project. Cabana features include the following: fireplace with mesquite mantle with area above for TV and lueder stone hearth with area for an extra-large Big Green Egg grill; granite countertop with sink, cabinet, refrigerator adjacent to the swim-up bar with LED rope lights highlighting underneath the bar; tongue-in-groove vaulted cedar ceiling with uplighting and ceiling fan. In addition, John designed this with an extensive plan for yard drainage and coordinated with his landscape division to provide not only beautiful, privacy landscaping around the pool, but also ensured the appropriate drainage around our pool and backyard. He takes great care in pleasing the customer. In the construction process at one point, he was not happy with the way something looked and knew that a certain small aspect of the design would not be very functional (and perhaps troublesome) for us in the future - something we would not have noticed at the time of construction. He explained the problem and figured out a better solution. The end result was something better than what we originally had planned. This was quite a project, and due to the tedious work of John Pack and his team that has worked together for over 15 years, we have a customized, high-quality/low-maintenance pool and spa with a beautiful cabana and backyard. With John's vast experience in the pool business, his suggestions and design ideas enhanced the project. He demonstrated to us numerous times that he cared about the construction of our pool as if it were his own. His dedication and experience made the construction process for us almost seamless.”
