“After reviewing this, I found that his company is actually called ePoolscapes. My apologies. We had special "requirements" for our swimming pool before we were willing to commit to anything. After doing an internet search, I came across epoolscapes.com. Mike's webpage (all done by him), is extensive, informative, and not for the average pool company shopper. After reading his philosophy about pool building and design, I sent an email to ask for more information. He called within 45 minutes. He was not pushy. He was not a salesman. He was genuinely interested in helping us create the pool of our dreams. This was a far cry from the other pool companies from whom I requested information. Sacramento's pool business is dominated by one, established company. They, like the other two pool companies in town, took a few days to reply. And when they did reply, they, quite frankly, told us that we probably couldn't afford a pool before we even got them to give us an estimate. Fortunately, we had already made arrangements with Mike Chaffee. In fact, unbeknownst to us, had already begun designs based on the GoogleEarth photo of our property! After a few rough designs on that GoogleEarth photo, and a few rounds of email tag, we were able to convey our needs precisely. He made arrangements to come survey the area the next day. (Mind you, this was all within a span of 4 days). Once we OK'd the plans, it was go time. As of this review, the pool is yet to be finished, but Mike and his crew have been spectacular. They are friendly, understanding, and complete professionals. Every step of the way, Mike and his wife/office manager Janine have been there to answer questions, address concerns, and keep us from getting too excited during the "Hurry-up-and-wait" period of pool construction. The other pool companies have sales people who will sell you whatever you want for a pool. Once they get their sale, they're done. Then, they will charge a lot for design and try to save you money on construction. Then there will be hidden costs and extra concrete needed, and a fence... Not Mike Chaffee. He tells you up front everything you will need, and how the cost is broken down. He sells you more than a pool or design. He sells you his work ethic, his people, his philosophy of pool design. I've included a picture of our pool, as of last week. If I can, I will post a finished pool picture.”
