might be tough with galvanized... it needs to slide in. That is a nice mount and it's rotten expensive... You might try calling Sanus and asking for the part. I'm a dealer and have always found them to be pretty easy to deal with.
Fold bars in offset pattern so it's easier to turn 90 deg. Still not crazy about the 4 smallish lag screws. I. Cannot imagine anyone would fully extend tv 2' away from wall. Maybe to get tv closer to your seating spot?
