Three X 1 metre smoked mirrored doors from the 80s dominate the whole room, internals too good to waste and door replacement options are proving prohibitive. So, how do we make them look attractive for little expense?
You an get a bonding agent in a spray can that will allow you to paint over the glass any colour you like. We recently used it to prep some tiles and then paint, in a fireplace insert that would have be difficult to replace.
we've successfully used standard paints without any special prep to cover mirror and glass doors...effective, cheap and easy: try gloss or matt paint or a ragged finish and/or use masking tape to make decorative patterns before painting!
