Appliances - white or stainless steel?
Comments (11)Portpiro, my oven came with the house. I must say I do like the way it cooks, but steel is just too hard to keep looking non smudged etc. in my last house I had a Bosch wall oven - that was the best oven I ever owned and if I ever replace the current smeg I would go back to a Bosch. We have white Westinghouse fridge freezer, no complaints good fridge that suits our kitchen and our needs, our stainless steel which I gave to my parents when we moved was also Westinghouse .. I am pretty sure they are Australian as well...so that is a bonus...See Moretech help rangehoods
Comments (2)Hi Sam, I use whispair with external motor 2100 m^3/hr with flexible duct for a single story house. Performance is quite fine with wok cooking, however it is not that whisper quiet at maximum extraction. If you want high volume extraction, there will be a good amount of air noise. Quite a fir bit of audible noise in the room comes from flexible ducting right after the hood. As far as I understand, rigid ducting would be a bit more quiet, but it may also bring in noise from the fan. For two storeys, fan noise may not travel back that much. But definitely rigid ducting will improve extraction performance for long ducting. If the ducting is really long, you could also add another inline motor along the way. Qasair twin motor is similar, if not a touch more quiet. So perhaps, look at Qasair, or other brands with external motor (Schweigen, Whispair, Sirius) with rigid ducting....See MoreMiele Cooking Appliances
Comments (4)Had a Miele pyrolytic and microwave combi oven as well as induction hot plate. Loved them all. Great, even temperature in ovens. Pyrolytic function was great. My only comment is I think Miele have smallish oven cavities from memory. And the lowest setting on the induction hot plate was a little hotter than the lowest setting you could achieve with gas. Maybe that's the case for all induction cooktops. I've nothing to compare it with. But I lived the ovens in particular. That said, Bosch gets good reviews....See MoreIs it worth upgrading from Teka to Miele?
