Great advice above from MB. Vivid white is extremely bright outside, I can't suggest enough to use a tinted white. You will need sunglasses otherwise! Surfmist works pretty well with most colours but can throw a slight green. Dulux Natural White will be good, but very bright. If you can choose something other than Colorbond colours here's a few. Just make sure the paint dept confirms the tint is for exterior use (can be a problem for exterior paint tint, even if it's an exterior paint). Dulux colours: Todd River - newer one, I haven't seen it large scale. Doesn't throw green. Simone Weil - throws a slight blue, but quite a neutral grey. Tristan - brown based grey It would look amazing if you could clad the LHS grey section (with the two windows in it) in a horizontal timber cladding to match your door. Probably not an option though!

Love your house and especially white houses, I guess if you live on a busy road or dusty climate it will show more dirt, along with that which comes from rain, you'll just have to think of it as more windows to clean. A good hose down with something that paint pro's would suggest every now and then would take care of any staining. Some of my favourites The most famous, just shows that white houses have been around for a very long time, ageless cheers

Hi T, Colour selection can be a hard thing to get right. For the outside of your home I wouldn't suggest a bright white as it will be positively blinding in the sunlight. So always go a little bit darker then you would inside the home. If you want white on white then go for it. although it will look a little flat so perhaps the colour consultant was trying to give the exterior of your home some depth. Do you not like the look of the timber windows and doors? My suggestion is to either go a little darker or lighter on the windows and doors to give the facade a little more interest. So really we are not happy with the option they have given, hence have reached out here. Definitely will not go for ironstone garage door! Duh! @Kate - Nope, we are not paining the brick. It's only rendering at the front. Other 3 sides will remain as is. The main post is a typo at that point! @Gary Sharp Agreed! The colour shades look pretty different. The one we opted was actually some other shade and in actual it looked so different to that. So reworking on the selections. @User hahaha.. you are the best! You have put in so many questions that it kept me rethink in all the aspects. This house pic is just a reference pic I got it from one of the model houses. It need to be exact same, but something similar. Now that we are reworking completely on this, what's you input keeping the bricks as base?
