Front door colour for brown brick house
Comments (26)I say go for it as your door is the window to your home. My advice would be to consider the colour of the flecks in your brick to make sure your chosen colour works with it and not to forget about the colour of your roof and window frames. For example I would have loved a red door but it would have looked ghastly with the green roof on my 25 year-old house. Instead I did black with dark grey window frames (which truly just look black) which works to pick up the black in the brick. I added my big pot plants with green foliage and still got a touch of red in the form of an old chair I picked up from an op shop years ago. The entrance is welcoming, attractive and reflects what is waiting inside. Have fun and if your chosen colour isn't quite right do what I did and find a way of incorporating it into the scheme somehow....See MoreHelp with front door colour
Comments (8)It is really up to you. I live in an area with lots of weatherboard cottages. Many people are painting their front door in 'pop' colours. In my street we have red (lots....it's the new black I think), teal, yellow, lime green, deep glossy navy and mauve (actually rooks really good with tarnished brass hardware). They all look fabulous....See Moremetallic front door colour!

Comments (17)Hi helke, how different we all are, I think your door is fabulous, by adding clear glass to the side, you will look at your door in a new light , to have such a unique door, you are very lucky. Also by adding decking and landscaping you will love the contrast the render will give to the overall look, you will love how the different textures will blend together to give a beautiful look, but we are all different and you should do what makes you happy every time you walk up your garden path to your home....See More- 9 years ago
