Generally, make sure pallets are stamped with “HT”, which means they haven’t been exposed to chemicals (at least not in the treating process.) Avoid unmarked pallets or those with “MB” for methyl bromide. Your scheme is very Deco like, the cornice is I'am finding the window treatment too heavy perhaps change to a lighter colour of light beige or white as per photo Colour scheme at the moment is black white and silver it needs a bit of lightening up to add some warmth but I can see Ghost dining chairs really working in your dining room but I think you mentioned keeping the current furniture cheers

Try the single chairs separated. I do not think you need a darker floor rug. But, In the end go with what you like. And how you use the space. It appears you like the Indian influences, so go with that. But, if you look at beautiful saris, they are colourful and vibrant. Your furniture and kitchen, might be shiny. but it is all the same tones. Yes, maybe add some red.
