Mid Century to Modern
The way we live in our homes has changed greatly over the past 60 years. High on homeowner wish lists are "master suites" "walk in pantries" "ample storage" "indoor/outdoor living". Our mid-century to modern homeowners wanted to achieve all of the above when collaborating with Urban Trend Construction to complete their 12 week internal remodel recently in Mackay QLD.
The existing layout had been left unchanged since its original construction, with the existing kitchen, bathroom and laundry remaining untouched.
The remodel brief included full internal remodel, with the inclusion of new internal laundry, and re-purposing the western wing of the property to incorporate a new master suite.
Interior designer, Meg Mill's, emphasis during the design phase was to maintain the existing window openings to minimise the extent of external brick work, and revising the wet area spaces to limit the amount of drainage works to the existing concrete slab.
The result; a refreshed, simplified internal layout, perfect to accommodate this 21st century family.
