Hello You have a challenge!! Will you also have the pavers pressure cleaned when the render happens? What colour will the render be? I think you have some magnolias growing there at the front. Could they be extended across the entire front to create a hedge for the patio. The single high window is awkward, isn't it? Make it a feature by using two laser cut screens. Place them horizontally - one across the window and the other immediately below. This will allow light into the room and also create a point of interest for the front door. Use your lovely terra cotta pot in front of the screens and add another magnolia. To the left of the front door have a long, lean green wall of living plants - maybe succulents. A plain wall with an opening at about 5-6 ft or just make it to this height, our neighbour has this it looks fantastic, simple, gives privacy and lets light into both spaces. I'am guessing that you will be using the RH door for entry. good luck

If you are aiming for the Scandi look, steer away from any timbers that have a red tone. You may wish to consider a charcoal or black wood wash over the Meranti to maintain some relevance to the Scandi look - best to test this on a sample before addressing the door - Good luck! I think the house looks beautiful as is, don't think the carport overwhelming at all, paint front door black as suggested, black light fitting, get advice on porch tiles for repair or replace, plant viburnum hedge (emerald lustre) shiny lush foliage under window, a row of ornamental pears along neighbours side, underplant with box or continue viburnum hedge for a designer look, standard ficus hilli either side of door in beautiful pots would look great, yout daughter has a beautiful house
