I have just purchased a house with what I call a wooden carcus. This carcus is right in the middle of the home and houses the kitchen. Although it is quirky which I like but seems to take up a lot of space. I would like to knock as much of it down as I can to open up the space. I am interested in your thoughts on how I can accomplish a functional layout of the kitchen (which will be replaced besides the stove) and still remain to have storage and open living.
