I'm renovating my kitchen. And have been advised that I need an expensive rangehood to get rid of the condensation. Can anyone advise if this is the case.
Yes!!! Get a good one with lots of suction power. Something with the induction causes more condensation that a gas cooktop. My previous kitchen rangehood dropped condensation into the food I was cooking all the time. I’ve got a schweigen now and it is SO much better!
my induction cooktop doesn't make extra condensation it just heats up quickly but the best rangehood will help eliminate steam and greasy air from the kitchen
With an induction the heat source is in the base of your pan - boiling water lets off steam, mixes with colder air, hits the cooler surface of the rangehood and can form the condensation which is more prone if the filter area is very small. Compared to say gas which not only heats the base of the pan, heat rise up sides of the pan, and will make it warmer (compared to induction) above the pan and around the rangehood, thus the difference in temperature is less and condensation doesn’t form.
A larger filter and choosing a rangehood that is for induction is thus advised.
