Any tips for someone to install a roller door on metal posts. The door companies can't install the posts and my landscaper can't either. Too small a job for most builders. I'm stuck. Any recommendations. Thanks
Roller doors are pretty heavy, make sure that the posts, and the post footings are engineered by a qualified engineer to take the load. You can't afford to have the posts splay out under the load. Timber posts with galv. stirrups at the base would look really strange with a roller door, and the roller door track projecting past the end of the post. I would suggest properly designed steel posts would be your best option for strength and longevity.
