Any advice if I try to figure out some of this myself? I love your color scheme. How did you decide on that granite? I found this website too . Perhaps those cabinets are not available here but just where you are. either way I can find something similiar. Did you have any issues with ordering..getting parts.. assemely? Do you have any helpful tips for designing ? Did you actually hang them yourself? Is there anything about the cabinets that you find defective or insufficient or think could be better? Hi Neeno, I've seen the use of Zebra ( vision ) ROLLUP blinds with one for each side that will cover down to the lower half window rather than having four blinds and have them fitted to the outside top edge and to the side edges of the pelmets ( window frames.) (If you get to see utube video clips your see what I mean . ) The avantage of doing it that way will allow you to buy only two blinds rather than four . The cost difference between two blinds and extra fabric required to cover the two windows will most likely be cheaper than the extra cost of two extra roll tube mechanism / chains etc etc. when fitted in the recesses of the windows . Also ,due to the bulkeness of blinds , two would no doubt look better than four doing it the way I suggested . Fitting to the timber edges will offer a couple of advantages . One of which will clear the windout handles fitted to the opening widows . Two ,will offer better light reduction from night time lights as the blinds will cover right to frame edges. Three , the design of the Zebra blinds only requires a few inches of the chain movement to close up or open up for vision out or add privacy where normal blockout ROLLUP blinds needs more adjustments and will not offer the same privacy options that the Zebra blinds can offer . Also, if in bed you can open the Zebra blinds slightly by a few inches or roll up just above the top of the lower window ,depending on how much vision and privacy you need and look out of the window whilst still in bed. Being such narrow windows, the small bit of wall between them proberly would not mater if one blind fitted at the top came down over that wall area down to the bottom window. Also you should concider the solar film tinting to offer improved privacy and insulation & fade protection etc for when blinds or even curtains etc are opened up altogether . Although I'm in Tasmania , I have a manufacturer I deal with on the mainland that could arrange sale / installation if required using the Zebra blinds or other types as well contacts for window

White and cream can work together and it is a great idea to paint all your trim white to freshen and lighten your room. Whether your cream blinds look dirty if you paint the trim white will really depend on the cream tone/shade of your blinds and possibly the material they are made from. Remember the colours will look different of an evening under artificial lights than they do during the day under natural light. We have uPVC white window frames with classic cream architraves. I recently purchased some block out roller blinds and spent hours agonising over whether to match the windows or the trim so I understand your dilemma. I ended up matching the white of the windows because we wanted the blinds to 'disappear' when they are opened. Have attached a pic to show the white windows with classic cream trim fyi....

I love the feature wall colour ! It lifts the whole room ,and modernises it so much . It makes the nice but boring couches look exciting , but it makes the curtains look even worse ! In the lounge , I'd do sheers basically inside the window frame , with big heavy curtains 'over' them , only opening about halfway back at the top , and tied about 1/3rd of the way up . Colour ? The richest shiniest gold I could get . With the feature wall , the couches , the black and gold picture -- class ! Doing the master and the dining room in the gold may be overkill , but it would certainly add a luxe feel . Depending on how open plan your house is , the dining already has a brass or gold plaque , and therefore any other colour may not work ? The brown feature wall in the master limits curtain colours , but maybe gold and cream stripes ( say 10-12mm wide ) would tie the master in ,but be light enough to not be overbearing .
