A shorter one may work better. 1500 I think is the next generic one down...? The spaces are more for ease of cleaning than personal aesthetics so a 1700 bath with 30mm gap at each end is a bit tight to say the least..... If you want a big bath go with a built in, that way theres no spots to collect dust and dead flies.... free standing ones do look good but they take more cleaning...

Hi Em, Families with young children are the most likely to need a bath tub in their home. Just about every other demographic could live without one. Some appreciate one less cleaning chore too! With this in mind, which market is your property in; a house for raising children or not? If not, I would lean towards a generous shower and no bath in what is a fairly small space for a main bathroom. If you can maximise the wow of that internal courtyard to create a great light-filled space in the room all the better!

We are literally having the same debate. We have a 12 year old and 9 year old, house doesn't have an ensuite as such but dual living set up with one bathroom on the ground level and one on the first level. At this stage we are thinking no bath...will be interested to see what you end up deciding too1

I have a glass screen for a shower bath combo. It’s attached to the wall with two hinges and a row of silicone at the base of the glass where it sits on the bath. I would say that a decent amount of the weight of the glass rests on the bath edge. So not suitable for your setup. If you talk to the installer, they may have wall fixing that run the length of the glass and hold the entire weight of the glass. You would still have water escaping through the gap.
