I bought home a black leather dining chair tonight and took it to the house Looks good . because the dining table is built in it has quite a big block holding it up in the middle and the chairs don't go all the way in unless I get baby chairs so I will have to deal with them standing out a bit from the table :( thanks for your support !! Hi Tania, my starting point would be a sofa, chaise or built in, that fits into the bay window niche. After that, use a design program or a simple cut and paste to try different layouts. One thing to consider is, do you need the entrance near the front door? If not, place a similar sofa / chaise along that wall space. I’d also note that moving the television outlet isn’t usually a difficult or expensive job (cost us about $100 a couple of years ago). Might be false economy, and add a higher degree of difficulty, to use that as a fixed design element. Good luck

We use the Family Room for TV and also sitting around talking. In the drawing previously attached the Lounge is used as a kids playroom, so the Family Room serves as both Lounge and Family Rooms. We would want to accommodate at least 4 adults to comfortably chat with kids filling in any gaps. Both responses mention keeping the furniture off the walls. Whys that?
