Need help decorating the strangest-shaped living room ever
Comments (17)I think the problem is actually not so much the shape of the room but the fact that at the "pitch of the roof" part you have a large full length window and fireplace. Essentially, because of all this there is no wall to put your back against or place furniture against. My rectangular room has similar issues with a corner window facing the fireplace. We just put the kids toys there on the floor and low kid size stuff like a toy box. You can't put any large pieces there. So, I say, start by completely ignore the top triangle of the room. Its essentially dead or unusable space, but will add to the feelings of space and light in the room. Arrange your large furniture pieces in the bottom square portion, around a large square rug perhaps that would define the space. It might feel better that way. Then arrange your other bits around that. I think if you try to work the square it will be way easier to organise the room. Emphasising a square layout will feel more comfortable. Plants in that light bright corner was a good suggestion, they soften the angles. Hope that helps!...See MoreLights and Fan??

Comments (0)Maximise expansive coastal and hilltop views from every aspect, with carefully selected windows and doors to beam light throughout every corner. Bi-fold doors bring the outdoors in. Giving you the chance to soak up the surroundings. They stack seamlessly so any view is uninterrupted. For those windswept days, the bi-folds easily and securely shut, taming the elements whilst allowing the light to pour in. Large fixed windows make a bold statement. They create picture perfect views for overlooking the pool and coastline, flooding light into the home. Comments (5)My quick two cents. More power points in study and where your plan to charge devices. A power point in the outdoor area is always handy. A down light in the kitchen needs to be between your head and the cook top when cooking, similarly in the powder room the lighting needs to do between the person’s head and the mirror. At the front of the house you have a down light, did you want a security light on the corner of the garage and/or feature lights in the front of the porch columns....See MoreJE C
