Just stained pine flooring with black japan, looks excellent! We had a combination of spotted gum, new pine and old pine. The black japan tied it all in to result in a consistent finish throughout.

Hi Ondapc The side board is lovely - with silvery tones running through. Black table top would coordinate with other parts of your decor. Then add silver Thonnet cafe chairs for a bit of bling. Some yellow in the mix - lamp shade? painting- would add personality. Have fun.
