Hi Rema, if yellow is you favourite colour then use that as the base for other decisions. Those chairs will look stylish with a timber table, perhaps circular for the space, and the timber will add warmth to the room. Or a glass top table with timber legs. Glass will help the room look bigger. Yellow looks great with black, purple or violet for drama. For something softer add some other warm tones such as orange or a cool green. A rug is a great way to define your dining space by placing it under the table and chairs. Ensure the chairs fit on the rug when not in use. Pick a rug that has yellow to match the chairs and other colours that appeal to you. Use the colours in the rug to determine other design elements such as art, object, trims, and curtains. Add some colour to the room, you could use floor boards to warm up the space, with a dog, the carpet will soak in the dog smell maybe. Get a new lounge set, getting a modern couch will definitely change up the space. Leather to wipe off all the dog hair. Have curtains as those blinds are hard and a chore to clean. Just change the hardware to black railing. Instead of hanging the curtain directly on the rod use peg rings. These are cheap. Two tone the wall, Put Moulding down the bottom and make that white and add a colour or wallpaper above the wall moulding. Like a geometric pattern. Change the light fittings Put in some chairs singular, that doesn't come from the couch family tree but still has the lines and weight of the couch. Add a rug, you can get ones where you can just hose them off to clean in case dog does a mess inside the house on the rug. Add plants Add throw Coffee table Oval maybe. Or two in one Coffee table and footstool.

The floral chairs are wonderful. Replace the white lounge with two more single chairs or lounge in the same fabric/design as the grey lounge. Purchase a coffee table that is similar to your glass and wood side table. A coffee table with legs, not a box. If you mean by “carpet” a floor rug? Then look at floor rugs in the same grey as lounge. Replace the curtains with one curtain that pulls to the right, so you can open your sliding door without a bunch of curtains in the way. The colour of curtain at the moment matches your accent chairs.
