not sure..I wouldn't go dark..that garage colour is too oppressive or go rust..you've got a beautiful brick feature there ..I'd carry that colour upwards.. leave your front door clear to counteract the darkness of the garage.. too many colours tend to make it busy the eyes don't know where to look..

The pool is at the back...that's already been sorted. I am asking about the balcony at the front!(See photo below) Don't really need privacy on balcony at the front as we will be putting aluminium slats in between the pillars at the front fence..so that will be our privacy. This photo is the front of the house..it's hard to see but the balcony will wrap around along the top section on top of those stairs (if u can see them).... but like i said, i will also be putting aluminium slats across the front fence, so not really worried about privacy. PS - No, the house has not finished being rendered yet! Only the top section of the garage has been done :) I think I am leaning more towards going for a glass balcony................ Here's another unfinished pic the front....

Thanks very much Annb1997 Yes there are sliding doors the full length of the balcony and that is a privacy screen but you can see the view through it at a certain angle. The reason we chose that slim line table was not to take away from the view. So yes I agree with you regarding the type of furniture I will pick. I do like the idea of grouping chairs with a smaller table, to give it a more relaxed feel. Yes we do bbq and have one down by the pool area but I'm hoping to get one for this balcony. We have another balcony directly underneath this one with daybeds and dining table/chairs. That balcony was easier to furnish as the view is just district as opposed to this view being water as well as district. I'm just not sure what way to place the current table, its currently extended to seat 12.

Most people insulate their house , and have some kind of weatherstrip or similar to insulate between the house and the garage -- saves the expense of a zerogap insulated garage door , and the expense of insulating your garage ( especially if it is double sized or larger , with a double door too ) . It also means you can leave the door up if you want ( especially if you are say doing handyman jobs or gardening , but for some people in some situations even when they are out ) . It sounds like an easy way to spend $10k or more , and not achieve much ?
