These are the chairs (the wooden ones) I’d really like but out of my budget. They’re from Castlery. Another chair option (wicker one), from IkEA but I’d upgrade the cushions.

The Castlery ones are very nice (though the legs are a bit strange). Of the ones in budget, I like Havana natural. For chairs we sit in all the time, we need to check for comfort/back support, but I agree you can buy occasional chairs online. I have and I'm pleased with them.

For me Sorrento Rattan in white. It depends on the back of the chair and where in your room that will be facing. The sorrento looks as though it would offer better back support, however if the back of chairs is the first thing you see, I would go with the Havana in white or natural. Or the round back Malawi chair. The back of these would be more interesting than a rectangle back with the Sorrento. They all look comfy.

bigreader, you have just triggered memories of my travels back in 1991. My boyfriend, now husband, and I, flew into Nairobi from Cairo on the 4th may 1991. Then hitch hiked and sat On the back of ute's and with the chooks on buses for three months, travelling through Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Zaire, Tanzania, across to Zanzibar, back into Tanzania, then down to Malawi, finished up in Zimbabwe, before returning home to Australia. We had been away for 12months in total. Not working just travelling……We trekked into the zaire/Rwanda border and visited the silverback gorillas. We ate only fish and rice for a week in Zanzibar. Got drenched at Victoria falls. Aaaah…the memories. Sorry to hijack your post.😌

Dreamer, that is a lovely lot of memories. One of my main life regrets is not travelling more when younger. See a gorilla in the wild is a very special thing for you both. 😊

Love the Havana in white or natural, your house sounds like it is going to look beautiful, can’t wait to see what you do, loving your flooring choice, soft neutral colours never date and always look beautiful.

I also love the Havana in natural or white. Something about the balance, maybe, and the timelessness. And the price is a real bargain imo. My bedroom chairs are a similar bucket/curved style, tho different construction, and I find them extremely comfortable even low backed as they are. I spend way too much time curled up in them with my book 😊 Looking forward to seeing whichever you choose in situ
