Hey sunseeker2, About your room can you take photo please

You actually have room for a couple of closets that would back onto the side (long) walls of the bedroom. one would be between the window and the ensuite and the other would match it on the opposite wall. You could put sliding doors or bifolds on these and walk up the middle of them to your door to the ensuite. I'm assuming your bed is in the "bottom" part of the room nearer the bay window.

I really like these [bed side tables[(https://www.houzz.com.au/photos/north-seminary-contemporary-chicago-phvw-vp~13970763) which are bespoke although too large for my room. Anything similar, but not as wide, in Australia..ideally Melbourne?

I would change the curtains to pale, at the moment they seem to divide your attention between the bed and the window area. Natural or white linen bedding would be lovely and then a chunky knit throw in a beautiful warm mustard or burnt orange. I would consider changing your bedside table handles to something trendy in a timber to match the blind and also bring in a few small timber accents, a bowl, photo frame etc on the bedside tables. And then go crazy on a mix of cushions. Also look up how to style bed cushions to give you an idea of what you might like.
