Cold, dark and damp. Just like any other typical heritage home in the City of Ballarat's fiercely protected heritage overlay.

So, accepting the restrictions on development, our challenge was to provide an additional room, open up the interior to create spacious and light filled family meals and living area, and generally make the house warmer and more joyful to be in.

There is so much history in this house, the growing young family can't wait to enjoy the next era of it's life.
