How weather proof is this cladding particularly Melbourne summer with sun beating down on it all afternoon and evening. I suspect you would need to paint it like any weatherboard.

we reclad in datk grey colourbond. The yellow was painted ceder, if it had been left to weather we wouldnt have changed it. The renovation has allowed us to make repairs and subtle changes (windows moved and doors replaced) and makes us more fire resistant in a bush fire prone area ... we love it!!
