suzanne ward One of my favorite tricks is to use a diagonal lay of wood plank floors in contempary spaces, It provides a diversified flow to the rooms. This was a vinyl plank which looked like wood but was very durable for both the kitchen area and warm enough for all family activities in the other rooms. Adding eclipse doors to the backyard also opened up the space for summertime entertaining.
