In the master bathroom, the steam shower's enclosure mirrors the framework of the windows and doors used elsewhere in the home. Large white tile work organized in a subway pattern round out the period style, but with a decidedly modern edge. Making the shower large and curbless was a consideration with the future in mind. "We may need to be able to wheel in and out of there one day!" Stacy jokes. To the right of the shower, the wall opens up to reveal a concealed linen closet.

This master bath has beautiful Wellborn cabinets that add to the warmth of the color scheme. The mosaic tile accents the brown tones of the cabinets. The doors are Harmony maple door style in Sienna Charcoal stain. Creamy marble tops blend very well with the floor tile and accent tile. The drop down vanity is a great feature in a master bath.

This gorgeous master bath and bedroom addition gave the homeowners much needed space from the previous tiny cramped quarters they had. By creating a spa like bathroom retreat, ample closet space and a spacious master bedroom with views to the lush backyard, the homeowners were able to design a space that gave them what combined both needs and wants in one! Two different accent tiles make a statement and add a pop of color against the large white wall tiles in the custom shower. Frameless glass creates a custom and modern feel to the space.
This small powder bath lacked interest and was quite dark despite having a window.
We added white horizontal tongue & groove on the lower portion of the room with a warm graphic wallpaper above.
A custom white cabinet with a waterfall grey and white granite counter gave the vanity some personality.
New crown molding, window casings, taller baseboards and white wood blinds made impact to the small room.
We also installed a modern pendant light and a rustic oval mirror which adds character to the space.
BEFORE
Though this bathroom had a good layout, everything was just really outdated. We added tile from floor to ceiling for a spa like feel. We kept the color palette neutral and timeless. The dark cheery cabinet was elegantly finished with crystal knobs and a cararra marble countertop.

There was an underutilized corner between the vanity and the shower that was basically wasted space.
To give the corner a purpose, we added a make-up vanity in white with a custom made stool.
Oversized subway tiles were added to the shower, along with a rain shower head, for a clean and timeless look. We also added a new frosted glass door to the walk-in closet to let the light in.
BEFORE
These beautiful oval pivot mirrors are not only functional but also showcase the cararra marble on the wall. Unique glass pendants are a dramatic addition to the space as is the ikat wallpaper in the WC. To finish out the vanity space we added a shallow white upper cabinet for additional storage.

The best part of this remodel? Tearing out the awful, dated carpet! We chose porcelain tile with the look of hardwoods for a more functional and modern space.

A cramped and compartmentalized master bath was turned into a lavish spa bath retreat in this Northwest Suburban home. Removing a tight walk in closet and opening up the master bath to the adjacent no longer needed children’s bedroom allowed for the new master closet to flow effortlessly out of the now expansive master bath.
A corner angled shower allows ample space for showering with a convenient bench seat that extends directly into the whirlpool tub deck. Herringbone tumbled marble tile underfoot creates a beautiful pattern that is repeated in the heated bathroom floor.
The toilet becomes unobtrusive as it hides behind a half wall behind the door to the master bedroom, and a slight niche takes its place to hold a decorative accent.
The sink wall becomes a work of art with a furniture-looking vanity graced with a functional decorative inset center cabinet and two striking marble vessel bowls with wall mounted faucets and decorative light fixtures. A delicate water fall edge on the marble counter top completes the artistic detailing.
A new doorway between rooms opens up the master bath to a new His and Hers walk-in closet, complete with an island, a makeup table, a full length mirror and even a window seat.

The bathrooms were part of a whole house renovation. The house, a foreclosure property, was gutted and remodeled by Streetscape Design. The bathrooms were updated and reconfigured, giving them a lighter feel. Benjamin Moore's "Fieldstone" was hand selected for the cabinets by designer, Susan Klimala, CKD, along with white carrara marble and simple white subway tile, reflecting a casual beachy feel that was carried throughout the house. Vintage style ceiling fixtures and nickel hardware complete the look. The new homeowners are enjoying life in their brand new "old" house.

Historic reproduction Subway tile for the walls and Unglazed porcelain hexagons for the floor. – There is no glazing or any other coating applied to the tile. Their color is the same on the face of the tile as it is on the back resulting in very durable tiles that do not show the effects of heavy traffic.
