Walczak Design And BuildWe took our client's dated bathroom and transformed it into a picture-perfect half bath for their daughter. By increasing the depth of the shower and using bright white tile throughout, this space seems larger than it is, reflects lighting and offer a very open look.
We opted for large format subway tile and a herringbone floor tile. The light gray grout makes this shower a bit easier to maintain and and of course custom low-iron glass provides a perfectly clear view.

12/12 Architects & PlannersThis small 3/4 bath was added in the space of a large entry way of this ranch house, with the bath door immediately off the master bedroom. At only 39sf, the 3'x8' space houses the toilet and sink on opposite walls, with a 3'x4' alcove shower adjacent to the sink. The key to making a small space feel large is avoiding clutter, and increasing the feeling of height - so a floating vanity cabinet was selected, with a built-in medicine cabinet above. A wall-mounted storage cabinet was added over the toilet, with hooks for towels. The shower curtain at the shower is changed with the whims and design style of the homeowner, and allows for easy cleaning with a simple toss in the washing machine.

Another space in the Dumas property completely transformed by our team. Previously, the master bathroom was a place for dog kennels (now they have their own space in a separate part of the home - see Project Dumas - Kitchen). It was lacking in functional storage, the shower was awkward with three benches and a faux arch and a bulky corner drop in tub was difficult to use and made the space feel small.
Now it is fresh, light, beautiful and super functional! No more beauty products and tools all over the countertop!
ReVision Design/RemodelingTo make the most use of this usually shaped shower, we used a mitered quartz bench at the short end and positioned a handheld shower close to it for easy shaving. The traditional marble-look porcelain tile appears more contemporary when installed in a horizontal grid and paired with contemporary plumbing fixtures. Wall and floor-mounted chrome fixtures at the sink, tub and shower provide vintage charm and contemporary function. Chrome accents are also found in the light fixtures, cabinet hardware and accessories. The heated towel bars and make-up area with lit mirror provide added luxury. Access to the master closet is through the wood 5-panel pocket door.
