This serene master bedroom was inspired by the fabulous views of Lake Erie and its ever changing tones. The custom upholstered headboard and nightstands were finished in sandy neutrals to offset the deeper toned walls. "The Fox Hunt" These are photos of rooms I designed for the Oxford Arts Alliance Show House, in Chadds Ford. The moment I entered the room and looked out the windows I knew exactly what I wanted to do with the space. That inspiration led me down several paths both old and new that eventually created the room as you see it here... As you glance out a window, you may see a lone fox trotting across the property, or hear the sound of hounds in the distance.

A master bedroom with an ocean inspired, upscale hotel atmosphere. The soft blues, creams and dark woods give the impression of luxury and calm. Soft sheers on a rustic iron rod hang over woven grass shades and gently filter light into the room. Rich painted wood panel molding helps to anchor the space. A reading area adorns the bay window and the antique tray table offers a worn nautical motif. Brass fixtures and the rough hewn dresser remind one of the sea. Artwork and accessories also lend a coastal feeling.

Toda la pared del cabecero del dormitorio principal se ha revestido con una pieza de palillería decorativa a juego con el resto de la casa que añade calidez a la habitación. La cama se ha vestido con un cabecero tapizado y un juego doble de lámparas colgantes, un diseño de Jose Fornas para Aromas del Campo en oro envejecido y cristal estriado que aporta un toque minimalista, atemporal y delicado al conjunto del dormitorio. En esta ocasión, y al igual que en las puertas correderas del recibidor, los listones de madera se han colocado en formato horizontal. “La madera alistonada ha ganado mucha popularidad en los últimos años, pero en la mayoría de casos colocada en vertical, así que decidimos colocarla en horizontal por un tema de originalidad y por diferenciarnos del resto de estudios”, explica Raquel Gonzalez.
