Country Kitchen with Stainless Steel Appliances Design Ideas

A functional design that will stand the test of time. Back-to-back fireplaces link the main living room to the indoor/outdoor area, with sliding louvres creating a sheltered space, where extended families and friends can gather all year round.

Bright, open and airy Knocking through a few rooms to create a large open-plan area, the owners of this sleek kitchen wanted to create a free, fluid space that made the kitchen the unequivocal hub of the home whilst at the same time stylistically linking to the rest of the property. We were tasked with creating a large open-plan kitchen and dining area that also leads through to a cosy snug, ideal for relaxing after a hard afternoon over the Aga!! The owners gave us creative control in the space, so with a loose rein and a clear head we fashioned a faultless kitchen complete with a large central island, a sunken sink and Quooker tap. For optimum storage (and a dash of style) we built a number of large larders, one of which cleverly conceals a television, as well as a false chimney surround to frame the Aga and a bespoke drinks unit. All the units are hand-crafted from Quebec Yellow Timber and hand-painted in Zoffany ‘Smoke’ and ‘Elephant Gray’ Walnut worktops, with Silestone ‘Lagoon’ Worktops around the outside and American Black Walnut on the island. This beautiful, solid wood, in-frame Shaker kitchen was part of a complete house renovation. The client wanted a light, airy and practical kitchen. It includes large island, American-style fridge/freezer framed by built-in larder units providing plenty of food storage and a bi-fold butler unit neatly houses all the tea and coffee making equipment. An electric/induction hob range cooker is complemented by a Quooker boiling water tap, providing plenty of instant boiling water. The units were were supplied by The White Kitchen Company and hand-painted in Farrow and Ball Railings on the island and Drop​ Cloth for the remainder. The light quartz worktop is Silestone 'Lagoon'.

An Induction Hob, instantaneous Wi-Fi connection and totally connected AV, make this a great place for our client (Michellin Star Chef) to cook up a storm. Philippe GAL

The rustic, eclectic country kitchen uses a combination of old furniture pieces, custom-made recycled timber sink bench and stove area country kitchen. The central island bench provides informal seating. Minimal tiled splashbacks for oven and sink areas.
