For this area, we decided to create with a custom dining table blending a traditional and more contemporary look. We chose a distressed wood top and pedestal bottom, and high polish nail heads on dining chairs allowed us to blend the furniture with a more modern light fixture. The table rests atop a round area rug. Eight chairs can fit comfortably around the table for entertaining larger groups.
