Freedom in design is every designer’s fantasy, especially if that is the brief from the client. This was our kick start with this huge private terrace; rare in Mumbai suburbs and yet our clients were fortunate enough to own this beautiful space.
The very first proposed layout was executed and zoned with a sheltered wooden deck to enjoy the outdoors on drizzly days. The pinstriped awning was cleverly installed to camouflage spikes used to keep pigeons at bay.
A faux rustic window sourced from an antique wood mart in ChorBazar was refurbished and incorporated with solid bird cages and hand-painted trees and birds to form a serene perspective. This nearly neutral mix forms a contrasting background to dark rattan cane furniture with block-coloured cushions in ‘Sunbrella Fabrics’ accompanying various hues.
Lights are a great way to add that dramatic touch to your space and provide the option to create multiple ambiences. The soft ambient lighting delivers the perfect atmosphere for cozy barbeques. Customized artwork and creative arrangements make this outdoor as warm and comfortable as their plush interiors.
A carefully zoned terrace garden is incomplete without plantations which were well thought of considering the humid climate and maintenance aspect for convenience. Low maintenance plants like Bougainvillea, Ivy, White Champa, Adeniums and Ferns were highly recommended by our in-house landscaping expert.
This vibrant rooftop is an ideal cocoon in Mumbai’s active hustle!
Archadeck of Central South Carolina
Renew Crew of Central SC renewed the exiting deck via clean and seal, and Archadeck of Central SC designed and built the beautiful pergola and landing addition so the homeowners could get more function from their poolside deck.

The deck offers a blend of mid-century, new, antique and re-purposed furnishings. A variety of finishes and textures create an eclectic and timeless look. Enjoy morning coffee on the deep seating pieces, sun worship on the sleek concrete chaise, napping on the hammock, cocktails at the butcher block bar and fine dining under the sail all while embracing nature.

In addition to a redecking and deck addition, we constructed a beautiful and low-maintenance Mt. Hope vinyl pergola with a tan finish. Pergolas are ideal for families, who wish for a covered area without adding roof construction. They not only offer partial sun protection but are lovely architectural focal points in any outdoor space. The pergola’s color is also very complementary to the home’s exterior finishes, as well as the new deck. The tan finish offers more of an understated aesthetic than a stark white pergola might. It is a beautiful architectural feature, without overwhelming the space!

This expansive roof top bar and lounge area has breath taking views of the city. Horizon Composite Decking in the color Ipe was specified because it emulates exotic hardwoods while remaining fade resistant.

The pergola over the upper deck is built with cedar, and the skirting around the upper deck is cedar, too. For the skirting around the pool deck we used Hardieboard.

We built this new deck in Hilliard, OH,, with low-maintenance composite decking from the TimberTech PRO Tropical collection in the beautiful Amazon Mist color. For their new railing system, the homeowners selected white vinyl railings and black aluminum pickets from the Ohio-based Mt. Hope Fence brand. For a cohesive design, they chose a TimberTech rail cap to match the decking. Not only is their new deck surface made with low-maintenance materials, so are the railings.

The owner wanted to add a covered deck that would seamlessly tie in with the existing stone patio and also complement the architecture of the house. Our solution was to add a raised deck with a low slope roof to shelter outdoor living space and grill counter. The stair to the terrace was recessed into the deck area to allow for more usable patio space. The stair is sheltered by the roof to keep the snow off the stair.

The new pergola creates much-needed shade for the deck and patio doors, making this outdoor living space comfortable while helping to keep indoor temperatures lower and save energy.
