The client wanted a sitting room and children's play area that linked together and felt a little bit rock n roll and yet reflected the age and elegance of the house. The zebra skin wallpaper was from Brian Yates and was chosen to look Art Deco Punk. It was picked up again in a throw and the rug pattern, but this time executed in claret which was one of the client's preferred accent colours. A feature chair and some cushions balanced the room tonally. The acrylic chandelier referenced Art Deco and emphasised the height of the ceiling to give the room added drama. Photo: Tony Timmington
