In the divide between the kitchen and family room, we built storage into the buffet. We applied moulding to the columns for an updated and clean look. By creating a division between creamy paneled walls below 9' and pale blue walls above 9', human scale is created while still enjoying the spacious open area above. All the volume with south facing windows creates a beautiful play of light throughout the day.

Extensive custom millwork can be seen throughout the entire home, but especially in the family room. Floor-to-ceiling windows and French doors with cremone bolts allow for an abundance of natural light and unobstructed water views.

Inspired by their Costa Rican adventures, the owners decided on a combination french door with screen doors. These open the Family Room onto the new private, shaded deck space.
