The walls have been plastered with a European style. Aged with a faux patina.
This wine cellar is a favorite watering hole to the new homeowners, but the last owner knew it as the powder room before the remodel.

Every detail of this historic loft renovation has been carefully chosen. From wood sourced from a single supplier to the exquisite Rohl & Brizo faucets in the baths and a Native Trails apron front stone sink in the kitchen and pantry, each element exudes timeless elegance. Rift white oak cabinetry pairs with Rocky Mountain door and cabinet hardware in White Bronze Medium. Custom glass floods the solarium with light, while artisan-crafted plaster walls provide a perfect backdrop. Modern amenities include an Ecosmart fireplace and a television lift from Future Automation. The Art Hanging Track Shadow Line System adds the final touch, allowing for seamless display of cherished artworks.
Vintage Cellars
This beautiful, contemporary wine cellar was put into a commercial space in the San Diego Marriott Marquis and Marina. This custom design and space created an intimate space for private parties, but also beautifully showcases the Restaurant's wine selection in both Vintageview racking and custom stained rustic redwood racking.
Some unique features of this cellar include its custom fumed white oak stain, the show stopping glass wall looking in to the cellar, horizontal bottle display, large format bottle storage, and The Berkel Cured Meat slicer used for private parties and wine tasting events.
This custom wine cellar was built in the San Diego Marriott Marquis & Marina in a contemporary style designed for intermittent usage. This modern, beautiful custom wine cellars is decked out with VintageView racking, as well as under the counter redwood racking with a custom fumed oak stain. The Rolling Ladder ensures easy access to all wine storage throughout the room. Wine refrigerators have been installed under the opposite counter to keep white wines cooler than the room temperature. The custom design for this project called for bin storage. Wine Case storage options in this cellar work perfectly for a restaurant of this magnitude. This wine cellar was custom designed for a client who wanted a sophisticated and unique space to keep their vast wine collection. Senior designer, Ayca, utilized onyx stone for the accent walls to steer away from the traditional and create the perfect statement piece for this one-of-a-kind design. Upon opening the wine cellar door, you are struck by the stunning colors and movements within the onyx walls, complemented by the intricate asymmetrical shelving and cabinetry that incorporates rich natural wood. Backlighting and framing create two focal points within the space, emphasizing the true beauty of the agate stone. This star piece, along with solid stain walnut cabinets, custom shelving, and steel wine peg inserts seamlessly blend within this chilled and temperature-controlled bar. This wine cellar is a hidden gem within this modern transitional home.

As long as you don't have a furnace or boiler in the room, you can convert a basement utility room to a wine cellar. The wine bins are open in the back so you can reach through to access water valves. Spray paint walls and ceiling (including all exposed pipes) in a matt black and have simple diamond shaped wine bins built to fit. We used leftover terra-cotta tiles to warm up the concrete cellar floor, and an old piece of moisture resistant cypress as the tasting bar.
