A new home needs some time for the landscape to mature, however this house backs onto a greenbelt, so the clients have nature at their door step. An avid gardener and nature lover, this client asked for a lap pool, outdoor shower, patio area, veggie garden and outdoor kitchen area. She received everything plus a water feature and a small pool house with a powder room. Materials include natural stone walls & raised planter, sand-etch concrete and patio slab inlays. Metal containers are used for the veggie garden in the side yard.

This couple wanted to get the most out of their small, suburban backyard by implementing an adult design separate from the kids' area, but within its view. Our team designed a courtyard-like feel to make the space feel larger and to provide easy access to the shed/office space. LandWorks first navigated a most challenging local government approval process because of this home’s placement on a lake, but it was passed by local government and came together beautifully. Our lovely clients trusted our team to deliver on an involved hardscape and landscape project that featured multi-level patios, several stone staircases, an involved water feature, an elaborate drainage infrastructure – not to mention a switchback, severe-incline path from lake pier to terrace. The stunning lakeside property features bluestone paving throughout, an outdoor grill counter, decorative driveway details at the home’s front entry, and lush plantings with tons of spring, summer and fall color. We had a brilliant and experienced crew on the very involved hardscape install and a talented, creative, painstaking crew on the perennial installs.

The clients wanted to remove their pool & create a woodland garden from a hot, yard of Yuccas & Palms. We added several large trees & this meandering pondless stream surrounded be lush woodland plantings. Just the sound of the water makes you feel cooler!

Per our client's request, we used hundreds of these basalt columns to outline the landscape, steps, and water features, as well as to act as a retaining wall. Due to the natural slope of the landscape, several water features fit perfectly into this scenic lake-side landscape.
