Patterson Kitchen

Traditional Kitchen, Nashville

The previous design had a doorway opening all the way up against the wall with the large window. There was not cabinetry or built-in seating. My client had a tiny L-shaped kitchen for all of her storage needs, and that is it! I moved the opening to be more of a passageway, allowing for the snack area to be added and the refrigerator to be moved to the same wall, freeing up a little space in the "L". We added built-in window seating with pullout drawers for additional storage. That also allows the table to be pushed closer to the window, allowing more walkroom in the kitchen. This alone makes the space feel huge comparatively.
