Traditional Living Room, Dallas

This involving updating a 1980's interior living room space to a more contemporary look. An entrance to a back room was closed thereby improving both rooms. The massive brick fireplace wall was updated with recessed bookcases, a large deep mantle with columns multiple layering effects to provide interest to an otherwise flat wall. Carpet was replaced with Brazillian Cherry wood flooring. The amber colored wood panelling, while in excellent conditions was dated and therefore painted an off white to freshen up and 'enlarge' the overall space. The corner entry Dining Room was updated with a center entry for a more formal look. The walls were panelled to match the Living Room and integrate the two adjacent rooms together. the
