The design concept is a modern expression of the barn vernacular. An open floor plan includes a tall living and dining room that flows into to the kitchen. A guest bedroom, master bedroom, and exercise and sewing room form the remainder of the house. A large screened porch and fire pit help connect the house to its natural hill country setting.
Studio Designs
The Multi-Purpose Folding Table by Studio Designs features a large 47.5-inch-wide work surface with a drop down platform that adjusts to 6 height positions. Once the platform is lowered this table can accommodate a sewing machine or keyboard. This table adapts to work in almost every room in the house. Some of the possible uses include: a sewing table, computer table, craft table, general office machine table, extra work space or a folding party table for gatherings.

Whether crafting is a hobby or a full-time occupation, it requires space and organization. Any space in your home can be transformed into a fun and functional craft room – whether it’s a guest room, empty basement, laundry room or small niche. Replete with built-in cabinets and desks, or islands for sewing centers, you’re no longer relegated to whatever empty room is available for your creative crafting space. An ideal outlet to spark your creativity, a well-designed craft room will provide you with access to all of your tools and supplies as well as a place to spread out and work comfortably. Designed to cleverly fit into any unused space, a custom craft room is the perfect place for scrapbooking, sewing, and painting for everyone.

Marvin
This grand Victorian residence features elaborately detailed masonry, spice elements, and timber-framed features characteristic of the late 19th century. This house is located in a community with rigid architectural standards and guidelines, and the homeowners desired a space where they could host local philanthropic events, and remain comfortable during day-to-day living. Unique spaces were built around their numerous hobbies as well, including display areas for collectibles, a sewing room, a wine cellar, and a conservatory. Marvin aluminum-clad windows and doors were used throughout the home as much for their look as their low maintenance requirements.
