Make storage look prettyWhen you’re decorating a small bedroom, think about functional storage options that will look good, too. For instance, use bedside tables that have drawers and shelves. Or you could install floating shelves above the bed to display your books and accessories. This will go a long way to reducing clutter and generating more room, and it will make your private cocoon exude even more appeal.

Robe storage: When moving into a new home, the most obvious lack of storage is often in the bedroom. With older homes, this can prove a major problem, as built-in robes were never considered a part of the overall design. One of my favourite design solutions is to steal space on either side of a bed as well as the space above it.

TIP: Remember to choose cabinets with discreet or invisible grips so that your new wall with room for storage will appear muted and neutral in its expression. The wall should look almost invisible in your new bedroom décor and thus light up the square meters.
