Blue Frog Studio

We retained Blue Frog Studio for renovation of our old cottage with a maximum budget of approximately $300,000 - completely re-doing our kitchen, bathrooms, laundry and patio, and refreshing the remainder of the house with new paint. We selected and worked remotely with Blue Frog while living in the USA during the design and construction phases. The Blue Frog team (specifically John, Luke and Matt) was very professional and responsive to our needs, meeting our design objectives, budget, and schedule requirements. Blue Frog communicated with us remotely throughout the design and construction process and kept us adequately informed. We returned to Australia and moved into our house at project completion. The completed kitchen and bathroom remodeling exceeds our expectations. We have no reservations in recommending Blue Frog Studio to others with a five-star rating for their home renovation projects.

We wanted to update the kitchen and flooring in the living areas of our apartment which we have been living in for more than 6 years. The apartment is about 20 years old and whilst in good order needed to be refreshed. The kitchen renovations was the key feature and we had two reputable designers come. It was an easy choice as Blue Frog Studio through John Cullen was clearly going to deliver what we wanted. John and Noelene listened to what we wanted to achieve, spent time understanding our tastes and then provided options which achieved our goals but with some flexibility. Their expertise, professionalism and responsiveness made it also a simple decision to have John and Noelene be the project managers. They organised trades staff and scheduled activities beyond what we could easily accomplish ourselves albeit we have a couple of excellent tradesmen who have done good work for us. The difference is Blue Frog’s knowledge and experience, and the use of tradesmen who were in themselves very good and have worked with John and Noelene. In the end we achieved all we were hoping for within a timeframe which was better than we could have managed ourselves and have an impressive new kitchen which is highly functional, looks great and is a product of our brief which was then influenced by the creativity and expertise of John and Noelene from Blue Frog Studios. John Cullen of Blue Frog Studios recently supervised/organised a major renovation of our home unit in Cremorne. The final result is fantastic. His ideas and designs were excellent, and he organised very good, efficient tradespeople for all jobs. The team at Blue Frog Studio went above and beyond in helping is to transform our ageing galley style kitchen into a contemporary feature. Being a galley kitchen space had been an issue for us and our main goals at the outset were to open up more room, add a breakfast bar and link the kitchen to the outdoor area. The Blue Frog team took our ideas and enhanced them with their own recommendations and were able to provide a complete turnkey solution including design, joinery, bench tops, flooring, tiling and appliances and were also able to work with the builders through the project to ensure it was a success. A month on now from when the final tile was laid there isn't a thing I would change about any aspect of the new kitchen - couldn't be happier!

By way of the team at Blue Frog Studio, our much loved but ageing 1929 cottage has been delightfully transformed. Key elements for any renovation project, including the development and finalisation of architectural plans, the carriage of the CDC through to approval and the selection of the construction and refitting professional team were expertly handled. We are thrilled with the outcome. The character of our home has been preserved and is complemented by beautifully designed new areas that reflect our needs and lifestyle. I engaged john Cullen from Bluefrog studio to design my kitchen and family room renovation in December 2020. Not only did he responded very quickly with an immediate site visit, where he discussed various practical options and possibilities. He was also able to produce amazing concept sketches within days . What impressed me was his ability to grasp what I wanted and to translate and reflect that in his plans . He is very easy to work with , and a very good collaborator as both of us worked to refine the first plans. His fees were transparent, and worth every dollar considering the outcome . When building started and there were some changes to the site area , john immediately made site visits and conferred with my builder on how best to fit in his design . My renovation project greatly benefited from his involvement, which was completed to my utmost satisfaction . I recommend john highly and would not hesitate to engage him for my next project . We renovated our kitchen, laundry, living and formal lounge room. John was a great assistance in design, innovation and styling. John came up with some very innovative designs that we would not have thought of. He was also very useful in suggesting accessories, lighting, tiling etc. John was a pleasure to work with. John was a great support to us in the development of design plans for our ensuite and main bathroom / laundry combo. He listened to all our needs and visited the site to gain clarity on the job and then submitted concept drawings for discussion that led to final plans being drawn up. John was also able to support us with material & appliance choices and finishes that are evident in the finished result. We were very grateful for his patience and understanding when changes needed to be made.

John and the team at Blue Frog are great to work with. This is our 4th project with Blue Frog and it’s turning out to be a great collaboration, complimenting each other’s business. Red Cedar Constructions completes the building work whilst Blue Frog cover the rest- design, detail plans, colour selection, tile supply, fittings and fixtures lists. John and Jennifer from Blue Frog were excellent with our renovation - mainly a new kitchen and bathroom.
