“We were very happy with the design that Michael provided. He has a particularly good knowledge of how to use existing space and we were thrilled with his ideas of how to incorporate several existing rooms into the new design. The sketches and documentation that Michael provided were very detailed and of high quality. His attention to detail was noticed by a number of builders who used the drawings to create their quotes. Michael made the early stages of our renovation process easy, by explaining each step clearly and in terms that were easy for us to understand. The costs for each stage were explained thoroughly, so that we knew which fees needed to be paid and when. He answered our endless questions with patience as well as a high level of expertise, which made us realise we had made an excellent choice. “I have highly recommended Bohdan Dorniak architects to anyone considering a new build, renovation or an addition. Bohdan and his team are very knowledgable, professional and friendly. I first met Bohdan Dorniak in 2010, when my wife and I attended an open day at the Food Forest in Gawler, South Australia. Bohdan gave a presentation on energy efficient homes and passive solar design. Then he led a tour of the many straw bale buildings and structures on the property, providing lots of useful information and answering questions. We were impressed with Bohdan and his team and in 2011 engaged Bohdan Dorniak Architects to design an extension for us. We found Bohdan very easy to work with. He listened to our wants and needs and was able to incorporate these, along with site specific and budget restraints, council requirements and many green and eco design considerations, into a chohesive design. He contributed many of his own ideas and solutions along the way, such as a compact three way bathroom design that feels spacious and has a great flow, despite a very small footprint. Bohdan and his team liaised which council, got us planning and building approval and was happy to assist with any issues as they arose throughout the building process.
