“My husband and I are working with Jon to design our forever home. We are about 90 percent through design development. Jon has been great throughout the process. I really feel like we’re a team and he’s been able to develop our ideas into a home that fulfills all our needs and embodies our values and aesthetics. We want a home that is healthy and functional but not oversized. Jon is very knowledgeable about healthy building materials and was able to design within our principles and I feel we have everything we need and more. The design is efficient and every inch is intentional. I am so happy with our plan so far and highly recommend Jon. He’s professional, creative, and incredibly detail-oriented.”

“This is an amazing site. I very much enjoyed the photos of the cabins. Each of the homes are works of art. I know from experience that Stephen meets deadlines and comes close on budgets. Stephen's knowledge enables him to create not only sensible, workable, and creative spaces but also a home that is not only unique but expresses who you are. Stephen is the architectural designer you want.”

“Leigh worked with me when I moved from an antique colonial cape to a large center chimney Federal circa 1780. He drew up a design to finish out some required work on the cape for stairs and cabinets. When I bought the Federal he walked through the home and prepared a plan of attack for making the house more livable for the twenty-first century without destroying the beauty and authentic character of the home. Leigh is able to design for many styles of home in a way that brings out the best of the existing building while providing for the needs of a modern home owner. His work is done professionally and timely. I would not hesitate to work with him again.”

“Thus far, Stacy Dennis Designs, has given me a beautiful idea of what we could do with our home. Stacy's style and architectural eye has surpassed our expectations and we are thrilled to have her and her team work on several projects with us. On top of the professional knowledge we were looking for in a designer, Stacy also has phenomenal people skills where she has been able to match our speed and really dig deep into who we are and what were looking for. For that, we appreciate Stacy Dennis Designs because based on previous experience, not all companies are able to provide an all around wonderful experience and this company has done just that. We would highly recommend Stacy Dennis Designs and look forward to seeing several more projects this company completes!”

“We just completed construction on our new home in the White Bear Lake, MN area. We had been looking for a tear down opportunity on a nearby lake for a couple years, and when a property presented itself, we quickly sprung into action. We have identified our builders in advance (Sustainable9) and based on our vision for the home, they introduced us to Unfold Architecture. Their previous projects, both out West and here in MN, fit the mountain modern/Minnesota modern style we were seeking. From the get go, the team at Unfold were amazing partners. Through conversations and inspiration photos we shared on Houzz, they took our long wish list (maximized lake views, lower level walkout, modern but welcoming, mid-century influences) and designed the perfect house. Their houses are striking architecturally but also extremely livable and functional. They use state of the art CAD models to help you envision what the home would look like. It’s remarkable how close the house turned out in respect to the early renderings. And throughout the process, they were collaborative partners, incorporating feedback from both us and our builders, presenting us initially with several options and then honing in on our chosen design. We could not be more pleased with the process (even in the midst of Covid challenges) or the end result, which is truly the dream home we envisioned.”

“TreHus has worked with/for Dan on a number of different projects spanning two decades. Dan has a unique ability to see a home or commercial space’s potential while honoring its original character. In the design of the now famous Wild Rumpus bookstore that has captured the imagination of so many young readers, Dan designed a ceiling that looked like it had cracked open, revealing the sky above (really a mural). In a former masonic lodge/business meeting space, he created a room that can function as a basketball court, movie theater or performance space to suit the owners’ varied interests. In a home on Lake Minnetonka, he designed a butterfly roof that pays homage to the home’s original 1960’s architecture and creates a two-story wall of windows, opening up panoramic views of the lake. In other words, he is excellent at thinking out of the box to capture each space’s best possibilities.”
