“Laura and I were referred to ELS Designs after several interviews with Southeast Wisconsin Architects. Many had one or more attractive attributes but none were a “one-stop shop” for all our residential architectural design, permitting, and contractor sourcing management needs. ELS Designs remained open to helping us realize our design/living concepts and did not seek to push their own concepts on us –as so many other architects are prone to do. From the start our design process was iterative and without cost penalty at every step and the wisdom of architectural experience helped us avoid mistakes. Showed great enthusiasm and finished drawings very quickly. Added many interesting details to the house and once it is completed it will be one of the best homes in Wisconsin. “We had a remodel in 2000 of our screened in porch. They brought the floor up to the rest of the house (immediately the kitchen), raised the ceiling and installed beadboards, installed about 11 windows + 3 transom windows above on the end elevation. Maple floors, extra heating registers for winter.....it's beautiful. They raised and widened the door opening from the kitchen so it's visible at lot when you are in the house. We call it the "Garden Room" and edmphasize that with our interior design. One neighbor down the street copied out look! Quality work!”
