“Impluvium listened to my spiritual desires to create a contemporary space that made guests feel instantly welcome while providing function for everyday life. I described a desire that my home subliminally feel like a space where East meets West. Many visitors comment on how "happy", comfortable, and Zen like my home is. Mission accomplished thanks to Tim Haley! The project involved an extensive remodel of my 3 bedroom/2 bath townhouse inclusive of footprint expansions (addition of ~75 sq. ft.), relocation of all plumbing and electrical, removal of demising wall, new windows, doors and skylights, and creative solutions designed to maximize space. In particular, Impluvium not only designed an aesthetically beautiful ceiling in the great room, but it also provides layers of light for multiple uses at all times of the day and night, functionally it is a chase which delivers the in-home sound system and HVAC system, and it masks the new structural beam required when the demising wall was removed. The accuracy and completeness of Impluvium's design and architectural drawings were instrumental in expediting HOA approvals and permits.”

“Elma Gardner is a very talented designer and a fun person to work with. We originally contacted her to help us with the kitchen and bathroom cabinetry design and install for our new home. She offers all the design help needed to complete a project. First, she presented a couple of different layouts for us to consider. The designs were fantastic. Then she scheduled appointments for us to meet with her at several different showrooms including: lighting, plumbing, appliance, and tile showrooms. She listened to what we wanted and helped us make good choices. She was available to meet at the job site during construction. Elma runs a great business; she is very organized, efficient and accommodating. She gets things done on time and she is easy to contact by phone, email or in person. The cabinetry company that she works with makes high quality, beautiful cabinets.”

“My wife and I wanted to tear down a three-car carport and replace it with a three-car garage with a studio apartment above it. We hired Frank/Architects to design the new studio/garage. We could not have been more pleased with the results. The aesthetics and functionality came together beautifully. “Kathy Rogers and her team at Sogno Design Group created a fabulous design for my kitchen. She listened well and incorporated the features most important to me. She provided 3 conceptual designs that were all great options. After I chose one she guided me through the decisions I had to make and the resulting design was a significant improvement. I now have a beautiful kitchen. Kathy was a pleasure to work with. Notes: the project cost below is for Sogno services only. The construction and appliances cost significant more. Architecture services were approximately 10% of the total. The photos attached are by homeowner and include some old furniture that will be replaced.”

“I hired Jeff to develop plans for me on a house I was flipping in west Oakland. He is the best designer/Builder I have worked with. Jeff drew the plans and made everything ready for me to bring to the city for permits, Oakland gave me no problems and accepted his plans with no review saving me time and money. His expertise with design software not only makes for a better finished product, but also moves the process along very quickly. He brought me through the design process with him on (Go to meeting). Where I was able to give feedback and make some input right from my own iPad, pretty cool process. I highly recommend Rexford Design and will be using his services on my next project!”

“Our project entailed a complete renovation (down to the studs) of our suite in one of Chicago's landmark, iconic buildings inspired by Mies van der Rohe. We developed a specific 'mission statemen', and after interviewing 3 noted firms selected Paul based upon his ability to work in tandem with us and within our budget, not to mention his excellent design ability. His understanding of two strong personalities, and his positive attitude to bring the project on time and within budget is a testament to his professionalism. He will definitely be our 'go-to' professional on our next project.”
