He designed our home and garage, obtained all permits, hired top contractors and supervised the entire construction and landscape project. The finished product is amazing. His attention to detail is impeccable. He and his staff are a pleasure to work with. They kept us up to date with progress reports and photos and met all deadlines. We are so very happy with the way our home turned out and would highly recommend Michael Bird and Adirondack Design. We will be working with Michael in the Spring of 2014 on a boathouse.”

“We had a complete renovation done of our bedroom wing with 3 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms and a hallway under Heike's guidance. This was the 2nd project we have done with her, and we are once more thrilled with the result! What we like about Heike is that, she is a nice person to work with, she listens well, does extra research, has a lot of knowledge of materials and where to get them, and last but not least the fact that she comes from Europe and understands our modern European taste well. She introduced a number of nice touches in the overall design and paid attention to the overall energy efficiency of the renovation. She also worked with our contractor and the building department of our town. We can full-heartedly recommend her.”

“I hired Madeleine based on recommendations from several friends, and I am extremely happy I did!! I will definitely use her again. She has great taste, is a good listener, helped me with everything from the big picture to the small details. Her site reports are highly organized, detailed and timely, and proved to be very useful in documenting exactly what was communicated to and by the contractor and when. She was a fair and effective mediator between us and the contractor, was vigilant in ensuring the project continued to progress, and kept it within budget. I can not imagine doing this, or any, project without her!”

“We were extremely pleased with Joana's service. Her knowledge, creativity, and most of all patience was hugely helpful as we planned and designed our home addition/remodeling project. Joana was able to provide her help from the conceptualization of our project through to the negotiation with our contractors which was invaluable given our inexperience with this type of project. Her assistance and persistence in liaising with the contractors alone was worth every penny! It was a pleasure to work with Joana, even our 3 year old looked forward to her visits to talk through her ideas, the plans. I would say that Joana's biggest strengths are her professionalism, detail oriented nature, patience, and creativity. “Robert Marrapodi is a full service architect capable of working with any design style and with any budget. We asked him to develop a plan to open up our 1950s ranch and give us a nice modernist look with lots of light and bringing the outdoor beauty in. He worked with our budget to find the best products and finishes we could afford and gave us realistic options and solutions that were within our reach. He also made some great suggestions on the fly to deal with issues that came up during the construction. He worked really well with the contractor and was hands on enough to ensure the project stayed on track and within scope. He has a terrific aesthetic and a good feel for what the customer wants. We especially like that he did not push us to change style or direction and respected what we were trying to achieve. We really enjoyed working with him and recommend him very highly.
