“Mike at Premium was a tremendous help in the complete renovation and remodelling of several properties in Victoria. His expertise and knowledge of both the design and construction of a complex project like these helped make them all successful. There were many design decisions that were needed to maximize the usability of the space, as we transferred many of the properties into highly desirable rental suites. Our tenants loved the final designs. Mike's expertise about the the full project scope (design, permits, construction, market) prevented us from making costly mistakes, while also enhancing the properties in their completed state. We will continue to work with Mike, and can't recommend him enough. The projects that we completed with Mike yielded properties that were instantly rented to long term tenants.”

“BTW Morris is a very calm, methodical, experienced architect that listens patiently to his clients needs and wants. He very diplomatically manages to interact with all parties involved in the complex construction process whilst keeping a rational eye on budget . We are extremely happy with the custom home he designed for us after a thorough information gathering process. We can honestly say we have absolutely no regrets, and can highly recommend him.”

“Having built two homes before, we were impressed with what Step One Design had to offer and commissioned Mike to draw up the plans for our current home. Mike arranged to meet with us at our lot, listened to our ideas and offered feedback and suggestions to come up with a plan that fit us perfectly based on our wants and needs. He was accessible, easy to communicate with and provided the plans on schedule. Step one Design brought together our vision while paying attention to practicality, finances and the aesthetics of the home. We were extremely happy with Mike’s work, would use his professional expertise again and would not hesitate to recommend him to others.”

“Gillian helped me to redecorate my condominium. I am thrilled with the results as well as the fact that she was able to work within my budget (which was not very large). She did a wonderful job of getting a sense of my current decor and my style. She was then able to help me transform my home while working with most of my existing belongings. “Peter Schionning of SOS Design was retained by us to provide plans for a partial basement renovation complete with a new bathroom[shower/bath,toilet,vanity and linen storage] as well as a laundry facility and storage space. . From start to finish, and in spite of this being a small project,Peter was very helpful in presenting a range of options for utilizing the basement space as efficiently and cost consciously as possible. There were height and plumbing issues which had significant cost implications ,but with Peters long experience, we got the necessary approvals As well, from previous projects in the house,Peter referred us to various trades who provided first class service and even surprised our contractor who ended up using them. From a design perspective ,Peter helped guide us through a myriad of choices from tiles to toilets, from high end to less expensive and explained the relative advantages of each. We would certainly recommend him to anyone.”
