“Vanessa is amazing! So much so that I've given her the nickname "Sydney's Best", abbreviated from "Sydney's Best Architect". We have undertaken 2 renovations and Vanessa was the architect on both occasions. In fact, we delayed our 2nd renovation to coincide with her return to Australia so she could be on-site for the job. Vanessa has a relaxed and friendly manner that belies her expertise and talent. Whilst her ideas and recommendations are outstanding, Vanessa's great strength is her ability to listen to and understand what we were hoping to achieve and then to make it happen. Twelve months on from completion and we continue to be blown away with how happy we are with Vanessa's design. We love the home that Vanessa has designed for us and truly couldn't be happier. The wonderful thing is that it isn't just a home for adults or a home for kids. Vanessa has designed a home that is to be lived in and everyone living in the house loves it. The design takes in so many considerations - it's a home for entertaining and a home for living; it accommodates people having their own spaces but also areas for people to interact; the space is utilised extremely well with the roof and under deck areas utilised to create maximum storage and an additional room. The design is very clever. Additionally, Vanessa has a great approach to working with the builder and sub-contractors and whilst you often hear about builder / architect difficulties Vanessa's approach and way of working with people ensures a happy and positive outcome for all parties. We are now looking at developing some apartments and wouldn't think of using anyone else. In fact, we can't wait to work with Vanessa again. Great person. Wonderful architect.”

“LocalArchitect did a great and professional job of renovating my inner city converted shop. Their services included a rebuild of the kitchen, both bathrooms, laundry and adding a guest room. With some clever ideas, they transformed what was a very narrow long space beside a laneway into something light and airy using gorgeous timbers. Definitively recommend them.”

“Takt Studio for Architecture consulted with me and then both designed and oversaw the construction of a cottage re-build I had been gestating for some years. I found Brent and Katharina to be very tuned in and receptive to my own vision and ideas whilst bringing really interesting ideas of their own into the mix. Prior to making an agreement with them I visited a property they were currently involved with and they also showed me photographs of properties they had completed with clients. Their attention to detail was extraordinary and the final product is both aesthetically beautiful and functional. During the building process we made changes to the finishes including deciding to clad the residence in copper. This was handled efficiently and council permission was smooth due to the care invested in modifying the plans. Studio Takt managed the budget for the project carefully so that I always felt that I was in control financially and it came in pretty much on budget. Once finished I got Studio Takt to also do interior design and furnishing which set the property off beautifully. Brent organised a landscape architect to design and craft the surrounding gardens and the overall finished look of the interior and exterior of the property has been hugely well received by all who have seen it. The current tenants also report that it is a very comfortable property to live in.”
