Based on an initial brief of an energy efficient house on a tight block with enough space for a highly productive garden, it is a lovely house to live in, skillfully designed in such a way that there is a natural flow from one part of the house to another & no wasted space. Through the use of carefully placed windows, sloping eaves & an internal rendered brick wall that absorbs the heat from the winter sun, the house is naturally cool in summer & warm in winter with lots of natural light coming in through windows that frame a range of views of the outside world. The budget was tight but adhered to.”
