The folks at Maple Walnut are providing a “word class” skill set and experience to the Buffalo NY region, top notch from conception to finish. We worked together on multiple components in a clean “contemporary” home where the details make the vision come to life. The kitchen was custom designed to incorporate unique storage solutions: mostly to eliminate unsightly countertop appliances- and areas were designed to make cleaning and a crisp look easy to maintain. The countertops were built with 1/2 and 1/3 waterfalls to match the unique hickory floors. In the teakwood bathroom, it was critical that the various elements were all executed in the same marine grade wood and they executed brilliantly. They use very helpful visualization tools to work with you thru the design development so it’s very clear to what the results will be, and it’s a very informative and fun process!!! “Service provided - design, build and installation of custom kitchen cabinetry and countertops. Our home was built in 1976 and the kitchen cabinetry was original (dark cabinets, poor design and flow). The project design was constrained by three large bulk heads (which could not be removed or reduced), uneven plaster walls and ceiling, and the overall footprint of the space (two sections - 8ft x 10ft and 11ft by 8ft - divided by a bulk head). Joshua Veldman of JV Woodworking listened to our "desires", studied the structural constraints, and then designed, built and installed beautiful custom cabinetry that met all of our needs and surpassed our expectations. Joshua even made the unsightly bulk heads "disappear"...absolute magic! The footprint of the space was also unified using repetition and improved flow within the design. The JV Woodworking team was punctual, professional, and very accommodating..."problems" were only perceived as "challenges". In the end, the price we paid for our new custom cabinetry was the same as the original price quoted (no budget creep!).
