3rd Generation family home builder located on Sydney's Northern Beaches with over 30 years experience with design, managing and constructing custom bespoke residential and rural homes, shops and office interiors with or without Architectural support. A family run, small volume business that prides itself on client satisfaction through personalised client relationships and thorough attention to quality detailed solutions done correctly the first time. We still work using the old school traditions of having highly qualified and experienced in-house staff completing the majority of the work minimising the need of sub-contractors. Customarily we have in-house staff on the job site every working day until final completion. We have found by concentrating on one to two projects per annum, we can guarantee personalised customer relationships whilst providing the attention to detail we are know for. We are extremely proud of our history in the building and construction industry over the last 3 generations. from 1920 to current. We were extremely happy with JMR and working with John and Melissa. Highly professional, great communicators. They helped us do a major renovation to a period home and came up with smart ideas, had good tradies working with them. They delivered on time and within budget. They are at the higher end in terms of price but there were no surprises, and they present excellent value for money. We would have no hesitation recommending them for any building work.

We have been working with JMR on our home renovation which is pretty much a new build in curl curl. John and Mel and the entire JMR team have been amazing. We live overseas and doing a build like this from so far away can be difficult but John has been outstanding in terms of project managing everything from the build / drafting of the plans, conversations with our Neighbours, working with council and helping us plan for the fitout. JOhn and Mel are a class act, professional honest and trust worthy and excellent at building and project managing. A couple of major call outs - balancing our wants with council regulation. their guidance on understanding council requirements and designing / drafting a plan that complies with regulations made the entire process almost seamless with very little change being required. - working with our Neighbours to understand first what their objections would be so we could understand how this was taken into consideration with the design. - project managing and working with us while we live overseas. - balancing a wife's wants with a husbands focus on Budget :-) - their guidance on design and support on building plans helped us not have to pay for an architect saving us loads that we could spend in other areas ! We are 2/3 of the way through the build and we know we are going to have an amazing residence at the end of this. I would never work with any other builder again ! HIGHLY recommend them !

I used JMR to rebuild our two storied house, (a 9 month project), after a close friend had completed both a major renovation and a new build with JMR previously. Right from the start JMR's difference was apparent, from the detailed way in which they priced the job, contracted, and scheduled their work. I dispensed with the architect after my initial high level plans were approved by council, and program managed the build myself, with JMR guiding me though the detailed design phases and managing all aspects of the subcontractors. JMR's craftsmanship and professioalism was first rate and they constantly found ways to save costs without compromising quality. My project came in 2 weeks early and 5% below budget and that included variations.

We engaged JMR Building Contractors to transform our very old and tired two bedroom beachside unit into a modern, trendy apartment style unit and the result was nothing less than spectacular. The spec required for the unit to be pretty much gutted internally and then a new kitchen, laundry and bathroom was installed. Further work to the unit was relocation and construction of new walls, timber floors layed and new modern tiling to the balcony. The craftsmanship of the JMR team was superb and nothing was ever an effort for them despite the fact that the unit was located on the third floor, without the luxury of a lift to help transport materials. Job well done JMR. We are two very happy customers and would certainly recommend them time and time again,
